Current Research:
My intended research has to do with the
health and viability of coastal salt marshes. The focus of the
research will include highly precise measurements of accretion
and elevation changes over the study period. Also nutrient inputs
into the salt marsh will be looked at to determine the effect
they might have on the elevation of the wetland. Finally, sediment
inputs into the salt marsh environment will be characterized
to attempt to discover the main mechanisms controlling the growth
and deterioration of salt marsh environments.
