Current ResearchThe problem addressed by my research is to document and
better understand the
sedimentary characteristics and
geometry of major storm deposits in coastal regions.
By investigating these sediments and dating individual deposits,
a more accurate understanding of the nature and frequency of
paleo-storm deposits will result, enabling a better estimate
of the risk and long-term effects of catastrophic storm events
on the northwest Florida coast and elsewhere.
