Current Research

I use chemical analysis as a tool to explore past environments and processes. Measurement of chemical abundances in meteorite and comet material helps characterize the processes involved in the formation of the solar system. Additionally, I analyze herbivore tooth enamel to extract paleodiet and paleovegetation information. Analyses include measurement by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) and isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS).
